Coaching/ Instructor
-
For the past 5 years I have been a swim instructor varying from private lessons to coaching a team. I have worked with a variety of ages from 2 to 40 years old. This has taught me how to properly teach other, especially those of younger ages. It gave me experience with younger children, learning how they behave, communicate, and interact with people. I wrote practices and lessons based on what the needs were of the group or individual.

Over the past 4 years I have also worked at a retirement home filling the roles of a server, hostess, busser or runner. Working with the senior population has taught me how to communicate and work effectively with them as it is a different environment.

Division I swimmer
-
I learned joined my first competitve swim team at the age of 4 years old. Ever since then, I have been on a team and have swam the past four years at a Division I level at Old Dominion University. Swimming has taught me a lot of skills and made me into the person I am today. I have learned how to work in groups, time management, time punctuation, organization, problem solving, and grit.
