About ME

​

I have a love for the sport of swimming! Along with being a swimmer, I am also a coach for a summer league team and a swim instructor at ODU. Outside of the water, I am a dog lover and own a husky named King, who is full of personality and loves to talk. I grew up with 2 cats and 2 dogs at home, so having pets has always been a big part of my life. If I'm not at home with my fur baby or in the pool, I am usually taking a ride in my jeep with my windows down. I have a bright orange Jeep Sahara, that I am in love with. For work, besides coaching, I have been a server for my entire college career at a retirement home in Virginia Beach. As I pursue a career in Dental Hygiene, my goal is to get the retirement home to add a dental office as an additional medical  resource to its residents. I have done research on the lack of dental care there is in nursing homes and how important it is. Hopefully, one day I can work in a retirement home setting as a dental hygienist. If not, at least see more nursing homes create more of a focus on dental care.
